RND + SMUG

WHERE IT BEGAN…

It wasn’t a difficult decision to make when I was asked if I would be interested in collaborating with Smug. I met Ed a few years back at a family party and more recently was re-introduced via my cousin during lockdown. A few Google hangouts later and team Smug was born. Ed’s enthusiasm and drive is infectious and momentum with the brand built very quickly. Here we are, literally weeks on, with a company, brand and product that complements my own design style, ethos and values completely.

Smug face masks - making face wear fun. Smug’s very simple aim during this time is to help people wear smiles. Not only that, but for every Smug order, another will be donated to a foodbank local to you – to be used by staff volunteers or issued with a food parcel.

THE DESIGN BIT…

I was asked to create a range of 6 limited edition prints to launch the Smug face mask. Head over to www.smug.org.uk to read a little bit about what’s behind each design and my inspiration for the collection.

THE PRODUCT…

It was crucial for Smugs to celebrate the best of British and that’s why Smugs are handcrafted in the UK, printed using non toxic dyes onto organic cotton and finished with a beautifully woven Smug label.

To get the ultimate Smug fit, the face masks have a stainless steel nose-clip and adjustable toggles so you can make it feel right for you.
